Laundry Rooms {Inspiration}

Since I was finally able to score some great upper cabinets at ReStore, and you saw The Arm Pit that is our laundry room, you may have figured that I'm going to start working on the laundry room next. Well, you figured right!
I rounded up some of my all time favorite laundry rooms for a little inspiration.

It's amazing how some kelly green paint, a geometric stencil, and a lot of hard work and patience can completely take a room from drab to fab. That's exactly what Elizabeth did in her laundry room. You can read all about the transformation on her blog The Mustard Ceiling.
I love the DIY pendant light and the bins and containers on the open shelving.
With the use of some fabric, Dana did a great job of disguising her washer and dryer in her laundry nook over at House Tweaking.
I love how she personalized the space with some black and white family photos. The dark paint and mirror add some drama to the routine chore of laundry.
I'm always a big fan of hiding away the not so pretty stuff.
Jessica's half bath/laundry room redo is a little bit of laundry room heaven on earth.
Don't you just love the contrast of the dark blue-gray walls with the white wanscoting and cabinetry?
And, how cute is that art work she chose to bring some character to the room?
You can read all about the reno on Jessica's blog, Home with Baxter.

One of my recent favorite laundry room redo's was Sarah's over at The Yellow Cape Cod.
Again, I'm loving the dark blue-gray walls that contrast with the white in the space. I also love the warmth that the natural baskets provide and the glass containers that class things up a bit.
Unlike me, Sarah's got some sewing skilz so she was able to sew her own Roman shade. That fabric is gorgeous and adds some softness to the space.

I am sooooo excited to finally be tackling the laundry room. I've got some ideas floating around in my head and a few things already picked out, so stay tuned because I'm so motivated to get this room done!
